Story
This extensive custom furniture suite was developed specifically for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Park and associated events sites. Based on guidelines supplied by the Olympic Co-ordination Authority, the main focus was to create a unique and unified identity for the Olympic Stadium and related event venues. Motivated by user accessability, longevity and ease of maintenance, the material palette for the suite included cast aluminium elements combined with hardwood timber.

This initial suite included a variety of bench seats and table settings, with additional custom design works and complementary items having also been commissioned at various stages since the initial event. While maintaining the same aesthetic and functionality, with the advancement in technology and more ecologically sustainable materials, some of these items have continued to evolve of the course of the project.

All necessary site analysis, product feasability studies, prototyping and technical documentation were also undertaken by Street & Garden studio during the various design and manufacturing phases of the project..
