Story
Developed in conjunction with Place Design Group for the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, this range of custom furniture items was designed specifically for the Maleny township site.
While the area is rapidly expanding it continues to support a culturally alternative community. In keeping with the themes of traditional craft arts and with forms inspired by the rural context of the location, the furniture features shaped timber that has been combined with folded steel components. This suite includes a variety of backrest bench seats, backless benches, platform benches, and table settings.
All necessary site analysis, product feasibility studies, prototyping and technical documentation were also undertaken by Street & Garden studio during the various design and manufacturing phases of the project.
