Story
Developed in conjunction with Place Design Group for the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, this extensive custom furniture suite was designed specifically for the Bulcock Beach Esplanade site.
With forms inspired by coastal themes, the main focus of the furniture suite was to encourage the communal use of the site. Motivated by accessability, longevity and ease of maintenance, the material palette for the suite included laser-cut / folded aluminium with anodised surface treatment, stainless steel, and CNC machined hardwood timber. This extensive suite includes a variety of bench seats, table settings, bar settings, bollards, bicycle racks, beach showers and a number of sculptural and signage elements.
All necessary site analysis, product feasibility studies, prototyping and technical documentation were also undertaken by Street & Garden studio during the various design and manufacturing phases of the project.
